For the 6 weeks of the school holidays the MADCAT team created hampers which contained the ingredients for 2 main meals and 1 dessert. The ingredients matched recipes which were pulled together by the 20Twenty Community Ambassadors in a cook book called ‘Healthy Mind, Healthy Body’. These recipes were wholesome and healthy meals that were easy to cook, and could be replicated at low cost.
During the Christmas period the MADCAT team, Neale-Wade Academy, PYO Fruit and Veg Bags and March Quality Meats worked together to produce Christmas hampers. The hampers included a 5KG bag of veg, 1KG of Turkey, 8 pigs in blankets and a range of dried luxury goods including biscuits, chocolates, deserts, crips etc.
A team of volunteer drivers delivered over 400 hampers to families across March, Chatteris and the surrounding villages. Reaching over 2000 individuals.
